Graduating from the Arts University Bournemouth, where Loren directed  "Don’t Be a Dikdik" - her 2D animated short film; selected for screening at BALKANIMA Festival 2013 and GIFFONI Film Festival 2014.

Since then, she has continued a career in 2D animation and illustration within the studio environment and as a freelancer, obtaining a high standard of training in the processes of production. 

 

Loren holds a secure understanding of visual language and storytelling. Expressing action, atmosphere, developing ideas and collecting inspirational observations through drawing. Loren is a motivated and outgoing team player, always excited and looking forward to new opportunities and future experiences in the animation and illustration industry. 

 

She enjoys travelling to explore new cultures, sights and scenery. meeting new people. fun social activities. Walking in nature. learning and observing from the every day life around her.

Work experience

Freelance Illustration Work (November 2014 – present) – Commissioned illustrations, sketches and paintings for a variety of clients and projects, from online articles and professional business logos to personal people and pet portraits.

Head Character Animator, Anthropics Studio (October - April 2018) - created numerous character animations on spine for a mobile app which took photos of your face and recreated you as an animated,'living' cartoon character to send to your friends showing your thoughts and feelings.

 

Illustrated Calendar Commissions, ABC Solutions (2014-2018)– For 4 years in a row i have created the company's business calendar which gets distributed to Chambers offices all across London.

 

Volunteer Art Therapy Work at the Student Support Centre, Richard Hale School (April – June 2015) – I worked closely with disruptive students aged 11-16 and assisted social staff. Using art therapy as a form of connecting and communicating with individual students on many occasions.

 

Animator at King Rollo Studios (February – November 2014)- I produced 2D animation in CelAction for the production of Poppy Cat Series 2. It was fantastic experience for working on a tightly scheduled production as part of a team in a professional studio environment.

 

Presentation Power Point for TheTrainline.com (January 2014)– animation of icons and typography through AfterEffects for the company’s exhibition stand.

 

2D Character Animation for Kelly Clarkson’s Christmas Video, Gupta Media LLC. (October 2013) – experience for working to a tight deadline and communicating with the client.

 

Character Key-frames and Visual development, Studio Onnie + MediaArk. (November 2013) – character animation keys traditionally drawn, then applied through AfterEffects to create a company’s advertisement.

 

Visual Development, Design and Storyboarding, RIOT. (Aug- Sept 2013) – good experience for developing a visual design for a company and achieving a specific, desired look asked for from a client.
